Every tenancy should start with a formal check-in which takes place before the tenant moves themselves or their belongings into the property. On check-in day our lettings specialist will meet the new tenant to complete tenancy documents and handover keys, as well as ensuring that all the essentials - such as smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms - are in good working order. In addition, the tenant will be made aware of where energy and water meters are located, and meter readings will be taken.

Our check-in service also includes an inspection of the general condition of the property which will be confirmed with photographs and a final report. By documenting fully the state of the property upon check in, and agreeing this with the tenant, the landlord is further protected when the tenancy ends.
