As soon as the tenancy ends it is important to complete the check-out process, preferably with the tenant in attendance so that any issues or queries can be resolved on the day. Our lettings specialist will meet the tenant, ensure all keys are returned safely, take final meter readings where possible and check that the property is returned in the same condition as it was at the start of the tenancy, taking standard wear and tear into account.
A full check-out report from an independent third party is a valuable tool to assist with proving liability for any damage or loss of items from the original inventory. Smoothing as much of this over as possible will help to reduce void periods and maintain yields on your property.
