Intus Lettings celebrates strong first year growth

Leading Manchester-based lettings experts Intus Lettings are celebrating a successful first year of trading, following increasing demand from landlords seeking an alternative lettings and management service. The agency has attributed this success to its unique service and pro-active approach.

Working with new landlords venturing into the buy-to-let market for the first time as well as seasoned investors with large property portfolios already, Intus Lettings have the infrastructure and expertise to tailor their service to meet each client’s individual requirements.

Since its launch in March 2015, Intus have developed an impressive reputation thanks to their unique and highly competitive ‘switchover’ offer to welcome new landlords. As a result, Intus Lettings now boasts a portfolio of over 300 managed properties in locations across the whole of the UK, including the major cities of Manchester, London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Sheffield.

Under the directorship of Simon Earles, a well-known and respected face in the property industry, the seven-strong team is now focused on building long-standing relationships with landlords across the country. Recently appointed to help the agency to achieve this objective is Jessica Hilton, an experienced property manager, who will be responsible for ensuring all property-related issues are dealt with as quickly and professionally as possible to ensure the least inconvenience to the tenant or landlord.

Alexandra Bowden, senior lettings negotiator at Intus Lettings, said: “We’ve had a really fruitful year, which has seen Intus reach key milestones in a very short space of time. We’re already at the size of a typical city-centre agent after just 12 months which in itself is a massive achievement, but we have also had brilliant feedback from our growing network of clients, something we are incredibly proud of. We welcome Jessica and look forward to seeing her progress as the company continues to grow from strength to strength.”

Intus Lettings places a strong emphasis on reviewing rents on all their properties, ensuring that each and every property is reaching its full potential. Last year alone, Intus’ landlords saw an 11 per cent average increase in rents since switching to them – a figure which is reflected in the company’s average rents of £706 in Manchester, £1,250 in Birmingham and £1,639 in London.

Alexandra continued: “We’ve been able to not only provide landlords with a better return in terms of rental income but, with our average management fee of £50 a month and offer of 12-month tenancies rather than the usual six for city centre properties, our clients also save money on tenant-finding fees, while benefitting from more long-term security.

“It’s for this reason we believe our first year has been so successful and, with the property market continuing to thrive, we are confident that the growth achieved in our first year is a solid foundation for future success.”
